The ais Smart Kingpin features a self-checking system for articulated trailers/semi-trailers. ais combines its patented design with internal sensor technology to detect and alert when:

• The specified kingpin wear threshold is reached
• When a crack/failure occurs in the kingpin, which would require the trailer to be placed out of service immediately.

Alerts are displayed on a simple to read, trailer-mounted Electric Box and can be integrated with trailer tracking systems to provide remote status alerts.
